Frederic Engellant: I would never buy a car sight-unseen, and that price sounds crazy cheap - so either it's in awful shape or it's a scam.Also, unless it's more than 25 years old, you won't be able to drive it in the USA unless you make safety and emissions modifications that could cost thousands.

Pictures do tell a story.If possible, get any documented history of the car even if it's a few repair bills.Consider that $2000 might be a great deal for the car, but always consider how much it will cost for transport. Would you still want the car if the transport costs were $3000?Also, will it be easy to obtain any parts for repairs and/or restoration?
