Gale Hartt: well success... seeking to discover "some thing like that"... for "unfastened"... however... considering you reside within the valley... how approximately North Hollywood park... close chandler ave ??? they've a bronze statue of Emilia Earheart in her flight go well with preserving an aircraft propeller... and, plenty and plenty of park area!!! or, the field in or surrounding Griffith Park... like, Ferndell Park... above Western Ave and Griffith Park Bl... wherein they've a few properly bent historic timber... i have visible marriage ceremony pi! x taken there... and, now not plenty of persons typically move there!!! Bronson Park... wherein they have "shot plenty of films"... (simply above Franklin Av)... like, "Star Trek... the entire sequence... and the films... Paramount Studios even paid Parks and Recreation cash to panorama/improve the field... considering they use it as a "position" for all in their films, that want a "park" or "pastoral" field!!! there may be most often no one there... for the period of the week... besides the puppy homeowners/walkers that reside within the residences up within the Hollywood hills!!! or, wherein they've the "pony rides" and "the miniature railroad"... close/through the fountain/waterfall... on Los Feliz/Glendale Bl... i have visible persons take marriage ceremony images there... with the fountain as a impressive backdrop!!! desire that offers you "a few recommendations" for "park-like" areas!!!...Show more
Elden Dedon: The Huntington has a great Japanese garden and a br! and new Chinese garden. I'm going to give you several recommen! dations, but the Huntington is the best in Southern California. Cal State Long Beach has a small Japanese garden called the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden, the web site is below. Descano Gardens has a small Japanese garden that didn't impress me much. Probably because I went in July and it was very hot. UCLA has a Japanese garden you have to make reservations to visit and they don't give you the adddress until you do. If you are a Star Trek fan the Japanese garden in Van Nuys was used as a film location several times. The James Irvine Garden at the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center is a beautiful place to visit. Also unexpected considering it's in the middle of the city. The Whispering Pine Teahouse & Friendship Garden in Glendale has a traditional teahouse open to the public. Torrance also has a small Japanese garden called Pine Wind Garden....Show more
Sibyl Siwik: I would go to CSULB, the Arboretum in San Marino or the one at the New Otani Hotel in! Little Tokyo. Call ahead to make sure the hotel one isn't in disarray, they just changed ownership recently.
Adan Stribble: In addition to the Huntington Library, there is also a very nice one at Cal State Long Beach. Oh, and Descanso Gardens in La Cañada.
