Fitness help please! Change waist size?

Derick Kinnard: With your numbers I am guessing you are a female because I don't know a single man who would WANT a 25 inch waist. First off, sometimes people start training with their fitness goals being numbers, and sometimes that's good, like setting a goal for bench or squat or mile time etc. but for things like your waistline, maybe a number isn't that great. Do you like the way your waist looks? if so, just stay fit and don't worry about it. if you aren't happy with the way it looks, then here we go...First off, cardio is NOT the only way to lose weight. lifting weight could proabably give you that extra inch pretty well, actually. One of the most solid and important FACT of the fitness world that was proved long ago and still holds today is that lifting weight increases your resting metabolic rate, which means that you will burn calories faster and more efficiently while just sitting and doing nothing. So, starting a lifting program 2 days a week, not even heavy we! ights, will REALLLLLLY give you a skinnier, tighter, sexier body. As far as your diet goes... if you could make a list of the top 10 ways to lose weight, it would be probably something like...1 diet2 diet3 diet4 diet5 exersize6 diet7 diet8 sleep9 diet10 other little thingsYou wrote that you watch your caloric intake, but i've seen girls go on their "pre-summer bikini" diets or "post-winter get-the-christmas-blubber-off" diets and what they do is starve themselves and then have a bag of chips when they can't stand it anymore and think that it's a great diet. but, no. you need to have healthy calories about 6 times per day. that's right, 6 meals per day. by healthy calories, i mean calorie-free drinks, lean meats, fruits and vegtables. get in protein, healthy fats, as well. Cassidy Pangrazio: You already have a small waist, especially compared to your hip measurement. So with very little fat around your waist then the only way to reduce it any further is through corset training.
