Posted a long survey on Y!A and it got deleted?

Irvin Guiles: Your question was of low-polling quality, and was deleted as a result of a chat violation. No matter how long or short the polling question, it's against the rules here.

Olen Penhallurick: Violation for solicitation. You cannot ask users to do anything for you.

Antone Bual: Long surveys are against the rules since you are cheating the system on points. Up to 5 questions you can get away with most days, but these 30-40 questions surveys will get reported. Also, in these long surveys, most have questions that could be classified as chatting violations. One such and the whole survey is a chat violation.

Eleni Mccier: And why would you think a long survey would be okay. You ask ONE question. It doesn't even matter if it was in the Polls & Surveys category. The same rules apply in all categories.Oh pul-eease. Why you?? It's a minor violation. Not exactly life changing or earth shattering. Don't fret over it.It doesn't matter if it took! you hours. Now you know that you can't post things like that, so wouldn't spend the time again creating something that might get reported and deleted. Find another site where posting something like that is acceptable. Questions and answers are reported by other Y!A users. The long surveys you do see, are the ones that just got lucky... they are still violations. What you don't see, are the many, many more that were reported and deleted.A question doesn't have to be rude or offensive in any way for it to be a violation. "How are you today?" would be a violation....Show more

Vince Delarge: I know that can be frustrated. I had a very long question of mine get reported. For some reason people on Yahoo!Answers can't just leave well enough alone and they have to nitpick at every little thing. If we're all on here to help people, then why would someone stop you from getting help?

Magda Vandergriend: someone must of reported it

Rose Krouse: depends if its vio! lent

Randall Twehous: It took me hours to make that surv! ey.
